When I read through books, including "how-to" books, I have this inner motivation to read through the entire book, from cover to cover. However, in recent years I have witnessed the disappearance of much of my free time. Now I feel especially accomplished when I do finish a book cover to cover.
"Revision & Self-Editing" was one of those books that was easy to accomplish. Mr. Bell writes in a very interesting, captivating style, and he had my attention throughout most of this book. Perhaps this is proof that Mr. Bell knows what he's talking about when discussing techniques to grab the reader's attention?
If you're into any kind of writing, including screenplays, I highly recommend "Revision & Self-Editing." It's just that good!
